Happy New Year, Friends! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season!! Alexis and I met at Cheeky Peach; she modeled clothing and I photographed lovely ladies in said clothing. We had a great time wandering the streets of downtown Athens looking for pretty places to shoot and chatting about anything and everything. Alexis has quite the sense of humor, loves dogs and shoes and is an avid runner.
I spent the majority of 2016 debating whether or not I should pursue "boudoir" sessions. I had a hard time describing what I wanted to shoot and couldn't find examples of what I was talking about. So, I slowly started practicing with women I knew. By late fall, Alexis contacted me (she had quit working for Cheeky by now) and asked if I was still interested in shooting "boudoir". I think the typical image of boudoir is more racy and provocative than I am interested in offering, so started calling my sessions Intimate Portraits. Below is our collaboration of a fun, sexy, Intimate Portrait session!

It was such a pleasure to spend the day with Carrie & Chris as they said their long-awaited I-do's. All of the day, all of the details, all of it was so Carrie & Chris. As you look through the images, notice Carrie's vintage dress that she bought on e-bay that fit her like-a-glove, all the touches of The Red & Black, where Carrie & Chris first met 20 years ago. Notice all the very cool journalist touches throughout - Carrie & Chris, both, are writers and journalists. The day was wonderfully put together by Natalie, owner of Natalie Bradley Events. The gorgeous bouquet was by Magdelena, owner of European Floral Design, the wedding was officiated by Judy McNichols of Athens Wedding Ministers, cake by Cecelia's Cakes, food & drink by Home.Made, tent & rentals from Oconee Events, the awesome-sauce jazz band was Enotah Brass. Carrie's hair & make-up by Tame. Style Bar. Ceremony was held under a magnolia tree on North Campus UGA and the reception was held on New College Lawn right next to the UGA Chapel.
Many thanks to Logan, for the excellent co-shooting!
I know I've said it before, but I just love getting to see a family 3-4 times a year when they schedule/purchase a Baby Bundle. So. Much. Fun. Jenna, Mack, Heston and Matilda are just so comfortable with me and the whole process of photos that it really takes away some of the nerves and stress of a photoshoot. The kids play and know whats happening, so they are usually happy to cooperate. This post is a little late; I shot it smack dab in the middle of wedding madness and so I'm just now getting it to the blog. But, it's still totally adorable and you should scroll down and take a look! I shot Heston's Baby Bundle too, so Jenna and I are running out of cool places to take photos. On a whim, I thought, let's see if Hotel Indigo would mind if we used there back patio and the lobby for some cool shots. And they totally didn't mind; in fact, they went of their way to be help us and make sure we were comfortable. AND, they let us go down to the Rialto Room and Lobby where that awesome purple chair lives. I totally want to go back and use it again!
